The emotions that flowed last night while watching the election returns, and then hearing the news that Obama was the new president elect, were oddly calming. It wasn't excitement that caused the tears. It was the sense that, finally, there was closure. I felt as if the Old People were right, afterall. We, the People, can create good, if we focus on our mutual vision of responsibility and interconnectedness--if we give of ourselves to the Greater Good--we can, indeed, manifest, we can change the weather, we can instill hope in those who feel their lives are without hope. Yôotva, yôotva, yôotva!!
